Chef Dee is a Sacramento-based culinary professional known for bold, soulful flavors rooted in Southern tradition and enhanced by flavorful seasonings. Originally from Mississippi, Chef Dee developed his passion for cooking through classic Southern cuisine, mastering BBQ, comfort food, and time-honored techniques that celebrate flavor, community, and hospitality.

After relocating to California, he blended his Southern roots with Sacramento’s farm-to-fork culture, creating gourmet food dishes that highlight fresh, local ingredients while staying true to his heritage. His cooking style is best described as Southern-inspired comfort food with a modern California touch, often featuring unique seasonings that elevate each meal. 

Chef Dee is the Owner and Founder of D’s Word of Mouth Catering, where he provides high-quality catering for private events, corporate functions, and community gatherings throughout the Sacramento area. 

In addition to his catering and event work, Chef Dee has gained regional recognition, including being featured as a contestant in a national Favorite Chef competition. He remains deeply committed to community engagement, mentorship, and using food as a tool to bring people together.
